In the Strata Mini review I mentioned...

...that I had recommended them to a long-time friend. Just wanted to let Mark, Sean, Mike and everyone else at AV123 know that he took delivery of them this week. I went over to help him set them up. He was astounded at how great they sounded. i must say they sounded better right out of the box than did my early production sample. I told him to wait until they are broken in, then he will really be impressed. Customer service was great, he said. Thanks everyone for making a friend happy and making me look like a genius!  :P

On a somewhat related note, in the same review you wrote:

" . . . transparency, while not the equal of more expensive competitors and even some restricted range monitors under $2k, was very satisfying . . . "

Does "transparency" refer to "accuracy" here, or "the ability to discern individual instruments", or something else? I'm trying to decide between the Mini Strata and some Sapphire XL monitors and need all the help I can get.

Thanks for the great review.
