I like to put on Frank Sinatra at Christmas. Do you have an artist that you like to play at Christmas??
-
Christmas Time with The Judds is a favorite. Recorded surprisingly well and great sounding voices and harmonies.
Got to blow out the cob webs first with a few spins of RUN-DMC's Christmas in Hollis....

I highly recommend this... Great sonics, too! Vince Guaraldi Trio from California...

Actually, they're the only seasonal records I listen to.

The Carpenters. Karen's vocal is just amazing on my Omegas.

James Brown's "Funky Christmas" and "A John Waters Christmas" are always in heavy rotation this time of year at our house.

My mom and dad played this album every year when I was a kid.

Marcel Marceau
:thumb: "waiting for ze sleigh" ... man, that rock-a-d.
Anyway, if the toss up is between Perry Cuomo's and Bob Dylan's Xmas record, I'll choose Bob's. I've said it before, his "I'll be home for Christmas" is not to be missed and is more like a threat than anything else, like he just got out of the joint and he has some unfinished business to take care of.

I enjoy most of the old Christmas tunes, but this is one of my favorite albums of the season:

A couple very nice ones not usually mentioned are Bruce Cockburn's holiday album called, wait for it, Christmas....and the Roches (harmonizing sisters) We Three Kings album.

15 years and counting. This is the album we play every Christmas morning as the children open their presents :)

I really hate the overproduced strings and the fa-la-la-la crap....so it's great to see some good suggestions here.
-
I've collected a bunch of Christmas music. We like:
Neil Diamond, A cherry cherry Christmas
Celtic Women, A Christmas celebration
John Denver and the Muppets
Mannheim Steamroller
Sheryl Crow, Home for Christmas
Jethro Tull, The Christmas Album (which is fantastic in my opinion, kids love to dance to it)
Sleigh full of Songs (collection)
The Nutcracker
Josh Groban, Noel
Michael Buble, It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas
John Zorn, A Dreamer's Christmas (which I really like, though is "dreamy")
Willie Nelson, The Classic Christmas album
John Denver, The Classic Christmas album
The Chieftans, The Bells of Dublin (another great one, kids love to "Irish dance" to it)
Johnny Cash, Country Christmas
And of course the classics, Burl Ives, Dean Martin, etc.
This year, I bought some more (Chris Isaak, Ella, Pentatonix, Idina Menzel, Johnny Mathis, A Christmas Gift for You), but haven't had time to listen to them enough.
-
I should say we're up to about 500 songs in Christmas music.
-
Bing Crosby, White Christmas

I didn't know Brian Setzer had a Christmas album. I'll have to get that one.
A lot of these seem like good options.

Brian Setzer actually has 3 Christmas albums! Besides the one already mentioned there is Boogie Woogie Christmas and Christmas Comes Alive! which has a number of the songs from the first 2 Christmas albums done live - :thumb:

And lest we forget, Arnold Schoenberg's "The Twelve Tones of Christmas":
