I wanted to ask something if anyone knows please.
(I read the product page but couldn't be 100% sure.)

Since Tidal support is 'coming soon' to AllPlay,
do you think that means the WR100 will be able
to stream Tidal without requiring a 'host' PC?

i.e. Just an Internet connection (And the app on a mobile device as controller).

Yes. There are two approaches we are taking with streaming audio:

1. WR-100 which is based on Qualcomm AllPlay - therefore the support of TIDAL is depending on Tidal's effort to add AllPlay API into the app.

2. NuPrime Omnia - this is both a hardware and software platform. There was a topic on the hardware features that I removed now that we are closer to release (Oct). The Omnia iOS and Android app can be independent from the Omnia hardware server+player device. And there is a high chance that we will give away the Omnia app.
Pending any unforeseen technical problems, the objectives of the Omnia app are:
1. Support of SONOS, TIDAL, Pandora, Spotify, Apple Music, etc.
2. Decode DSD256 and all high resolution music formats.
Free of charge for anyone with Android or iOS devices.

Obviously we need to make #1 and #2 compatible so Omnia would be able to identify AllPlay devices in the network, in addition to SONOS, B&O (this is completed) and Bose wireless devices.

Thanks for clarifying that.
Think I'll put an order in for a WR-100 soon.
I also like that the DAC-9 can power it directly.
