Piccolo PSU
« on: 19 Mar 2007, 04:20 am »
Hello Jim,

I have a Bugle PSU.  The Piccolo requires 5 to 10 Vdc.  What is the best way to use the Bugle PSU for the Piccolo?  Should I just put a resistor (say 150 ohms at 5W assuming 100 mA current) at the + output of the Bugle PSU to lower the voltage to around 10 Vdc?  Can the output of the Bugle PSU be "lowered" to <10Vdc by changing the value of R6 in the Bugle PSU schematic?

thanks,

Abe

I changed the design of the PICCOLO.  It can now take 6V to 24V input.  Added an extra onboard regulator to add this flexibility.  That makes it really easy to add it to a BUGLE.  Input current is small, about 15mA or so.
