Is this recent?  Mine have always been fine.

My last two have been snail. Before that - 2 weeks ago about- they were coming in at around 300kbs. Much faster for sure. I have been sitting on this Tom Petty dl all day. Last night also on a 24 bit rolling Stones, it took all night.

I'm with werd on this - last couple of HDTracks dl's have been half-day events!

I wonder if I am just hitting them at the right times- no issues here.

I did recently run a program that checks 100's of servers to get the fastest internet connection. It told me to change from Cocoa FL (cable company server) to Tampa FL (Google server) which did make things noticeably snappier. My last DL (Stones 176.4) took 30 mins- not too bad considering the file size.

Just 2 minutes ago I bought one song from them, a 32 meg file.  It took about 60 seconds, or 500k per sec.  Not great, but not a dog either.

Well i am glad other people getting better connects. They returned my email with these suggestions.

Thank you for your order on HDtracks.  I'm sorry to hear that you are having problems with your download.  If the download manager seems excessively slow or stuck, closing and then relaunching it (by clicking on the red Resume Download link in your order history), or rebooting your computer usually fixes this problem.  If it does not, could you please make sure of the following:

·         If you are on a wireless connection, please try a wired connection.

·         Please make sure that you have enough space left on your hard drive.

·         Please try resetting the modem and/or your router as well.

·         Some users have found that removing their router and plugging directly into the modem helps a stalled download, so please try that.

·         A computer reboot should clear your Java cache, but it might help to do so manually:

I know what to expect from my dl's. They transfered their slow dl's reasons onto me. All those suggestions i had tried long before i complained. Maybe or hopefully they have come out of their sluggish hosting.

I've also experienced the excessively slow downloads lately (4 albums:  2-4 hours).  Just downloaded 3 in less than 30 minutes.  So Werd maybe your complaint helped??
