Wood ? Granite ? Plastic ? Corian ? Hockey pucks ? Your experiences.  Oh and how do you support them. I like spruce boards sitting in a sand box supported by mapleshade Isoblocks.

Different approaches for different pieces of gear.  I'm big on sand boxes.  I'm also big on constrained layer plinths for some gear.  I like granite for some tubed gear.

Sorobothane sounds slow to me.  I like the rubber/cork isolators from Granger, too.  Mapleshade has been selling them for years.
