What sort of binding posts are on the back of salks speakers?
I need to get some decent cabling and wondering should I get bananas or spades.
Thanks.

Which speakers?
I'm pretty sure that all of the posts will accept either. Maybe I can get confirmation on that. Some have bi-wire capability, some don't (if that matters to you). I like bananas for the convenience, though some will argue that spades make a more solid connection.

i'm pretty sure my ht2-tl's have cardas binding posts.using bananas on my amp and spades on the speakers, you can tighten up the posts with a wrench as long as you don't overdo it

Or you can go "old school" like me and just use bare wire. :thumb:

I once wonderd about this too when I was shopping for my Salks. Google has a lot of pictures of Salk speakers but for some reason people don't often post pictures of the back side.

If you look at the pricing page for each model it says something about the binding posts. Most are either "standard five way binding posts" or "premium Cardas binding posts". Either of those would take spades or bananas or bare wire.
Your HT3s say standard five way.
Here's a fuzzy picture from the back of the SS8 with the premium Cardas.......

Ha! If I didn't have to sneak around, the picture wouldn't be so fuzzy!
And it's about time you connected them to an amp! :jester:
