Hi Danny, I'm ready to send the Northeast pair off to the next person. I think there's someone in the Boston area that's interested. That would be an easy handoff to arrange. Let me know.

oz_audio_todd,
I'm in QLD - I have ML1 Signatures. So far the best standmounts I've heard as well.
I am waiting for the new design of the ML2 Signatures,
complete with spring steel substrate loaded HDF enclousures!

I am interested in how these N1X's would go up against the latest model ML1's, and I
am not sure which version groovybassist has? The HD3 or the new sprung steel HDF version with the revised crossover? (has 3 resistors in the back, so after run in at the factory it can have a final dial in - never seen anyone build like that before). Which version Groovybassist??

The N1X looks devine (congrats Danny), and if it's got the chops of the later ML1's which I heard on MC501's, he's fully got something magnificent to be proud of. Period.
I would be open to auditioning them in a comparison with my ML1 Sig's.

oops, PS. on the post above..

We live as far from USA as possible - N1X's will only come to Aussie if
someone is prepared to buy them I reckon.

I have ML2's on order and can't justify another pair as well.

rix:

I have the original ML1's with HD3 enclosure and no resistor network on the back.  You guys get all the fun stuff, although my originals sound very sweet to me!

So, now that you have had a chance to sample them are you going to give them back, or just send Danny a check?

Hi, Is there anything in Southern Cal, that I could demo?
I am new to this and would love to hear Danny's speakers before I order one of his kits.
Thanks.

I have a N2X demo pair in AZ that will go back up the West Coast next. You can get in line to demo that pair.

Danny:  Hope I've still got a spot in line for the N2X's in AZ.  I'm in WA state and have Lenehan ML1's as a reference point.  Just let me know when you need more info.  Thanks!

You guys can just e-mail me all you shipping and contact info. Then call with CC info needed to secure them.

Groovybassist, I was hoping to hear back from you. I think I had an address or shipping info for you but no phone number and I still need to get CC info from you. You have been wanting them for a while now and I would be glad to make you next and then let them come back down the West coast.

Just e-mail me everything I need.

sts9fan, EricusRex, and I just listened to these for a short time today at my place before they move to their next home.

The associated equipment:  squeezebox duet, benchmark dac1 usb, jeff rowland consonance preamp, audio by van alstine fet valve ultra 550 with NOS telefunken 12at7 or a music reference rm10 mk ii.  An ACI titan XL with a DSPeaker 8033 filled in the bottom.

We listened to a selection of music from various rock, pop, and indie artists from my collection with recording qualities from pretty good to okay.  Unfortunately, we didn't pull out any completely acoustic reference-quality recordings.  Should have done that.

I must say, these are impressive speakers.  In particular,  I was stuck by how extended, detailed, and natural the highs are.  The metallic nature of cymbals came through without any brightness or glare whatsoever.  That's a really important quality to me.  The mid-range melds in seamlessly, and as far as I could tell there is certainly nothing untoward about it.  Very nice, in fact.

Bass.  Darn it, I never turned off the sub so I can't be entirely sure, but I didn't detect any faults here either. Although, my wife commented that they could use a bit more bass.

Generally, we all agreed that these N1X's are excellent.  They exceed what I would expect for the price by far; the consenus is that these babies are a fantastic value.
