SR-Lambda (Original Normal Bias) Q&A
« on: 13 Feb 2024, 03:13 am »
Hi all,

Does anybody have any experience with a normal Bias STAX SR-Lambda? I found one with the foam intact and wanted to pull the trigger on it.
Anything to note here?

Current Set Up:
Amp: STAX SRM-T1S Modified by Mjölnir-Audio
HP: SR-007Mk1 Serial # ending in 71
DAC: Schiit Yggdrasil OG A2/Unison

I can't be of much help, I have the Pro Bias.
It wasn't I seeking out the Pro Bias, it was just what was up for sale at the time.

My lamda pros died about 10 years ago. StaxUSA said parts were out of production and not available. One can always plink them a short email asking about parts for the even older lamda notpros.
Hope this helps,

  • To whom more was given more will be required.
    • Never go to a psychiatrist, adopt a straycat or dog. On the street they live only two years average.

Some years ago I read someplace HifiMan are able to rebuild Stax e-statics phones, its HifiMan China not HifiMan US site.
