85" flat screen TV for 50,000USD.

Hi all Audio Circle members.
Yesterday while in Hong Kong for business I saw in a store a Samsung 85" flat screen tv.
I wonder why people would want to have a 3D tv and wear those 3D glasses.
The resolution and the depth of the image was incredible, I stand in front of it for more than 10 minutes with my jaw laying on the floor.
I could not beleive that such an image quality was possible, now I am a believer, but at 50,000 USD sticker price, I will pass.
Just wanted to share that hawsome experience with you.

I'm wondering when these large TVs will get to the price that it'll be better to buy a large TV than a projector.   If they had a 100 inch (for instance) TV that wasn't much more than a projector and screen, I'd seriously consider a TV instead of a projector.  50,000 isn't that point, but maybe 10,000 for a 100 inch might be.  That's still a long way to drop, though.

A sub $10K 90 inch from Sharp is avaialble now.  I suspect the display that Guy 13 was drooling over was their 4K model.  Yes, it is currently in that $50k range.  Panasonic 103" plasma's are still out there but no where near $10k.

Hi youravhandyman and all Audio Circle members.
Yes, it was a 4K model and drooling was exactly what I was doing in front of that huge TV screen.

Multiple brands showing displays in excess of 100" this year at CES.  Just saying...
