Very nice set up! I imagine the sound is spectacular! Beautiful and well treated. I am jealous!

They do indeed look more like Super &'s than Super V's.

Thanks Guys, I feel very fortunate to have this space. I purchased the property next door to me and turned it into a rental. There was an existing 3 car garage on it that was in pretty bad shape and I couldn't get insurance on it. So, I worked out a plan where I got a listening room and my wife got a guest house. The back of the room is a full kitchen and bath, so when people come over they have a place to stay.

The room really does sound good and I can hear differences in gear very easily. I can also really hear the room and how it changes when I move the panels around in it. I now have corner bass traps floor to ceiling in the front corners and some more panels around the room.

Regarding the OPs question about having a rack in between the speakers I can't stress enough how important it is to have that area clear of anything that can effect the soundstage. It made a very significant difference for the better once I moved my audio rack to the side of the room. The sound stage became very large and the instruments float in the air at various locations. Now I can hear where the people are on the stage.

When the rack was in between the speakers the stage became confused and broken up and much less defined. You get used to it but it's not right and everything kind of runs together.

I hope this helps,

Greg

I was always intrigued by your design of the super Vs and I really admire what you did to your room. I also have always been impressed with your defuser that you made.

But my favorite thing you made is your audio rack. I can't recall what you made it out of now? I almost contacted you about it and was going to copy your idea. Eventually I moved the gear to the side of the room so having it low to ground wasn't needed.

Thanks!

The super vs are gone now, but i kept the servos.
Just finished removing the tops and refinishing.
The subs look cool with the round tops, and I have the option of laying them
on their sides now.

The gear stand is made with structural steel studs...should be able to buy them at most drywall/construction
supply houses.

1. Why in most pictures do I see the audio equipment behind the speakers or mostly on the floor??
2. I currently have super v speakers I'm curious to know what size your guys rooms these are i
3. Anybody who is using the super v speakers can you post a pic
Just to let you know I listen nothing but vinyl and my system is in a finished basement ceilings are 9 foot

  Thanks
1. @Tyson has you covered. I like my low amp rack.
2. My rooms is 16.5' x 13.5' x 9' with one side of the ceiling angled in (so more like 7')
3. Here is my room. All digital these days. Neurochrome amp powering the Vs. PS Audio Stellar Gain Cell Dac. Transport is Mac Mini playing back lossless files out to the right (which also doubles as my office desk). Lots of acoustic treatments. All absorption and bass traps. Removed all spinning drives and anything that causes noise or heat (I'm in the finished attic). That's been my crusade the last year. Haven't changed anything in 6 months or so.
