So I drove up to a record store today, a different crackhouse than the norm, thinking I could score some deals because yesterday's national record day was a bit of a washout due to torrential downpours here in Pennsylvania. But that was not to be. Pman and his wife met me, and when we saw the prices of things I just thought I'd grab two or three items and call it a day. Instead I walked out over $200 poorer, but I think I got some good items, certainly a few things I've been looking for to wit:

Miles Davis-the Man with a Horn
- Miles Davis and the Lighthouse All-Stars
-Blue Haze
- Walkin
-Steamin'
-Relaxin'
-And Horns
Shirley Scott-Soul Searching
-Shirley's Sounds
- Girl Talk
John Coletrane-Lush Life
- Traneing in
- Coltrane's Sound, 180g
Thelonius Monk-with John Coltrane
- its Monks Time, 180g
-plays Duke Ellington
Maher Vishnu Orchestra-Apocalypse
Sonny Rollins-on Impulse
Ella Fitzgerald-Like Someone in Love
-the Duke Ellington Songbook volume 2
Al Di Meola-Land of the Midnight Sun
Chet Baker-Sings and Plays Billie Holiday 1965
Jazz at the Philharmonic-at the Montreux Jazz Festival 1975
the Charlie Parker Story-number 2
Montreux Summit-v1

Our local record store has only a small amount of new vinyl so the She & Him was my only new take from yesterday's Record Store Day.

The Fleetwood Mac stuff is tough I have a Sire reissue of one. If you can find it Bloodwin Pig "Getting To This "
is worth the trouble.

Thanks Pman...  I'll be on the lookout for that Getting To This especially after really enjoying Ahead Rings Out.

As for the Fleetwood Mac...  I found a clean copy of Black Magic Woman this week while on business in Troy MI - an Epic reissue double LP containing Peter Green's Fleetwood Mac and English Rose...  should hold me over until I find originals.  The one I'm still hunting for is the initial version of Then Play On (sans "Oh Well").

I see there are 3 locations, are any close to Cook County hospital, I may be there in early May consulting.

My postman dropped of 2 Lee Morgans today;
Candy
Tom Cat 180g

Though I have a mailbox, he had to ring my bell, seems he's a vinylhead and knew full well what SoundStageDirect on the box meant. So I showed him the bookcase I had to buy to house all my $1 classical albums. He took my card and said he's email me some stores and record sales.

Found Flipside Records while on business in Troy MI.  Small but target-rich environment...

When you stated initial version I was confused. Then I did a Google search and found that there is 2 diff. Lp's with slightly diff. track listings
I didn't know that.............Bill

I just checked my copy. I have the 13 track LP there was 14 tracks on the original same as the UK Lp

Don't know Chicago that well. But back in the day, I thought Cook County was in an iffy neighborhood...

Been away for a few days, the day I left this arrived in the post

Original release of what's essentially Status Quo's debut album on Marble Arch records.

I know it won't be everyone's cup o tea - I've been after it for a while, they don't come up too often.

Just been steam cleaned and filling the house with a slightly alternative take on 60's Brit Pop sound 8)

And here I sit in the States wondering why I didn't Only buy imports when I was a wee lad...
