I happen to have the Mermaid Smile version. The way to "complete" the album, then, is to have the 12" 45 RPM of "Grass" b/w "Dear God."

The latest news is that Skylarking has been reissued, double album at 45 rpm. Turns out that the polarity of the bass was reversed so apparently every prior issue/reissue has been out of phase! Including the original album. Music Direct has it, with a deluxe version with banned booklet material that was never issued. I thought it hadn't been released quite yet. NOW I GOTTA BUY IT!!!!

Try ape.uk.net. Also check out Pugwash on that site. A great pop band!

Paul

Thanks Paul. I now have the version you have. If I like it I may be a candidate for the reissue :thumb:

Shocker!  :o More Smithereens.

Were'd the Floyd come from then?

Jamie posted he had 7 new boxes of classical earlier today, but I couldn't talk myself into making the drive.

The Main Street Jukebox here in town. A nice place but a little more money for LPs than DDs.
Next weekend is Record Store Day and DDs opens at 8 am. I'll be there early. Gene are you
going to show up ??

Actually the more I look at your haul, Bill......I am speechless. The Flock? Canned Heat? What the heck is Sapphire Trinkets or Gandalf? Allmusicguide doesn't even list a "2" for Gandalf.

This may be catch of the year!

Ok Here Goes
The Canned Heat Lp is one I've been searching for a long time and I've seen many copies and all where just beat. Paul you are correct there is no Gandalf 2. Peter Sando was the leader of the group and all of the music on this LP was in the form of demo and acetates that he had locked away. The original Gandalf I have on LP and CD. As far as I know there was only 1 LP. I found The Sapphire Thinkers on a site called "Chris Goes Rock" which was a file sharing site that I guess in reality was illegal. There were people from all over the world sharing obscure music that had been released on CD. I was turned onto The Flock by Authur Dent, again I had seen this band on vinyl many many times but had never listened to them. This LP was available yesterday on a Columbia 360 and didn't have a mark on it. How it sounds ? we will have listen to it later. I just checked and Chris Goes Rock has been shut down time and again. I stopped using it years ago when it was shut down the first time. Because if it was illegal I didn't want any trouble. They did mostly Psych music but anyone could post anything unusual.........Bill

Guess it's 3996 holes now.
I have Bon Iver on CD, hauntingly good.

I see you found another REM  Chronic Town

This completes my R.E.M. collection from the I.R.S. days through Automatic. Then I skip a few and come back in on Accerelate through Collapse into Now

My local record store owner let me do my Record Store Day shopping today. :thumb: some really cool stuff including a Beach Boys 78 of Good Vibrations and Heroes and Villains.

The Destroyer album was purchased factory sealed on Discogs. the other three were given to me by Bob, my local record store owner.

And on Wednesday I received a surpirsed package from the very generous Pumpkinman.

I have so many records in the que to be cleaned it may take me to next year :duh:
