Saw them last year, have tickets for this April at Calvin College in Grand Rapids, MI, ideal place for concerts. Saw The Hazards of Love last year, what a great show!

Got a MoFi DOFP now, so until I see a minty British, I'm done. In fact, I need to get rid of my crackly crappy copies, of which I have at least three!

Labour of Lust is coming out on reissue, I posted about the vinyl sale they had at YepRoc a few weeks ago. If it is half as good as the reissue of Lowe's first album (which they expanded to a double: the British has slightly different versions of several songs), it will be a sonic pleasure!

Great score, Laura.

Paul

PS I don't have a lot of patience for the dollar bin either. Don't tell the Pumpkin!

Hi Paul and thanks. I saw The Decemberists during the summer of 09 playing The Hazards of Love plus a few favorites. It was a great show. I posted pics from last Saturday's show over on the Music Circle

I picked up Labour of Lust after reading about it in Stereophiles Records 2D4. The copy I found is scratch free and NM.

Waiting on my Loricraft to arrive before cleaning these.

Laura

Pink Floyd- A Momentary Lapse Of Reason
MINT 8)

I was lucky enough to catch PF on that tour, it was a glorious Summers evening in a packed out 80k strong Wembley Stadium.
They played most of this album as the sun set. Went off for a bit of a break, it was totally dark when they came back on and the light show was .... well, I'm sure you can imagine. All the classic tracks deep into the night.
For a live music fan, it really was an experience of a life time.  8)

I bought my copy the day it came out - It's not at all bad.

Cheers
Dave

Just completed a long road trip. I really didn't get to record shop much this time around, but I broke away from my family pack for about 30 minutes and found these in the streets of the East Village in NYC:

1. Dionne Warwick "On Stage And In The Movies" Scepter Records, Produced, Arranged and Conducted by Burt Bacharacg
2. Sarah Vaughn "Belts The Hits" Premier Records
3. Joni Mitchell "Clouds" Reprise Records
4. Joe Cocker "Mad Dogs And Englishman" Double LP, A&M Records
5. The Paul Butterfield Blues Band "Golden Butter" Double LP, Elektra Records
6. Rufus Featuring Chaka Khan "Rags To Rufus" ABC Records
7. World Party "Private Revolution" Chrysalis Records
8. Todd Rundgren "Healing" Bearsville Records
9. Rick Grech "The Last Five Years" Rhino Records
10. Big Twist & The Mellow Fellows "Self-Titled" Flying Fish Records
11. Simon & Garfunkel "The Graduate Soundtrack" Columbia Records

All NM. Average Price, including the doubles, $2.95! Some good finds.... 8)

Drove down to Joe's Record Paradise to meet ScottDazzle to pick up his EAR phono pre for a little phono pre shootout this weekend, while there spent a few hours with him perusing the vinyl. Bought a bunch of classical, and a half dozen jazz, 3 or 4 by freddie Hubbard, Donald Byrd on trumpet, and right now listening to Bill Evans & Jim Hall 'Undercurrents' while Sonny's Curcio diy pre gets acclimated to my system.

Was pleased I kept this to $80+, I freak every time I go over $100 for used vinyl in one purchase.

Then stopped off at CDepot, they do have a huge selection of CDs, but I think I can get most cheaper on ebay, though I did take 'Battle Stations' by Lockjaw Davis and Johnny Griffin.

My Dr John has holes from when I tacked it to my dorm wall. It is a trifold. Could it have been 35 years ago???!! Really?

Best line: "I was inna right vein, but I must a used the wrong arm"

Hey Pumpkinman! I'm happy to see that you're on to some good Illinois Blues Bands. Next, you'll have to check out Big Twist and the Mellow Fellows... another Chicago favorite.  8)

Hit Double Decker, got;

More Songs About Buildings and Food - Talking Heads
Silk Degrees - Boz Scaggs

Silk Degrees came out my sophomore year in college, it was everywhere on campus.

And about 40 classical albums at a buck each, including a few multi-album sets that look like they were rarely, if not ever, played.
