Just picked these up today. Billy Idol-Charmed life, Van Halen-Women and  Children First, Van Halen-Diver Down and a real rarity, Van Halen 45  RPM of the hits from 1984 including I'll Wait, Drop Dead Legs, And The  Cradle Will Rock, and (Oh) Pretty Women.

All are very minty. This kind of score for me comes not very often, so  it's real fun. The Billy Idol was still in wraps (20 years old) and not  warped.

I was worried for a minute...I thought maybe his left lip was sneering upward from a warped record jacket! :icon_lol:

Those 45 single cuts from the 80's are the bomb. My White Wedding 45 sounds spectacular! You do have that one, no?

Yes, I have that one as well. I also have Simple Minds-Don't you forget about me, Tears for Fears-Everyone Wants to rule the World, Thompson Twins-Hold me now and a bunch of others that I can't remember. They are really powerful recordings.

I also have Billy Idol-Eyes without a face on 45 RPM... of course all on 12" LP.

Just got a big box of LP's from Music Matters this morning.  The early albums in the series are starting to go out of print, so grab these while you can, before they are gone.  Fantastic pressings!

The Band...............................Stag e Fright

I know it's not supposed to be, but Stage Fright is my favorite. Two organ solos on Shape I'm In just blows my mind. But not as much as when the reverb comes in "then Daniel said" in The Sacred Harp. Maybe it's the Rundgren production.

What???????  :nono:

You made me!

Wont even attempt to list them, She's So Unusual  by Cindi Lauper, 99 classical, at least a dozen of which were multi-disk sets, all for a dollar. And P-man guilted the owner into given me a free CD as a bonus, and I took a Denon AVR-3208 off of his hands 'gratis', though I need a RC-884 remote for it.

Got some really clean Angel/EMI vinyl, and Phillips imports.  :thumb:

I am remiss. I have bought so much stuff and even took pics of some and never posted. So here goes a few:

The Renaissance is really good, good quality recording. From their best period in my opinion.

I have probably three or four copies of Roy Wood's Boulders. Can't have to many...This is what he did as a solo project when he wasn't working with The Move. He played everything on it and it's one of my all-time favorites.

Emitt Rhodes and Badfinger again prove that I'm a powerpop nut.

And Neko Case is on clear vinyl from Record Store Day (like April, not the pseudo-BlackFriday one!). It's cool watching it spin. Side 4 is of insects and bird noises on her property at night. A whole side of it (will be the least played side...). Great voice, great phrasing, great songs. She's a member of the New Pornographers, so what could be bad?

Spoon: it's a great one from them. And Field Music? Run out and buy any of their three albums. Quirky pop that's highly recommended. I think if you like XTC, you'd like Field Music even though the music is not the same (Wayner: hint, hint)

I like Neko Case, I keep forgetting to look for her albums when I meet Pman at DD.  :duh:

Deep Red Bells is a great song!

Went to Seattle/Tacoma Saturday to see Roger Waters and took advantage of the opportunity to Visit Silver Platters, House of Reocrds, & Easy Street Records.

The Turtles Greatest Hits is a remastered new 180g vinyl. I have been looking for Avalon Sunset in vinyl for over a year. My favorite Van Morrison album. All are in excellent condition--some were a little dirty, but the VPI 17 took care of that. :thumb:

Yes on both, Gentle Giant and the concert. The graphic arts part was mind blowing. Roger's voice sounded very good and the band that played with him was terrific. The airplane that crashed into the Wall flew right over my head and I could feel the heat from flames. I'll post a couple of pics on the concert thread.
