Minty Surfaries originals: 'Hit City 64' on Decca, and 'Fun City USA'. $4 each and book near mint is $50 each. Good deal.
Then also the first Pentangle album, and 'Solomon's Seal' by them also.
A Randy Newman 'Sail Away', with gatefold cover
And a mint Jeff Beck 'Wired'.
I already owned copies of Wired, and Solomon's Seal but these were such perfect copies I had to buy them!

David Werner, his third album, a white label promo, 6 bucks at a record show in excellent condition. Heard about this on a post on the Crack The Sky forum. Apparently he's a Mott/Bowie/Glam guy from the late 70's, never made it big, had 3 albums. This is the third. It's pretty good.

If I'm lying I'm dying Paul $1 here to. This LP was a red Capitol with a black and purple bullseye
Not sure if this is a early pressing or not ??

Mine has a red label, I'm sure it's newer than yours. At least it doesn't have a UPC on the back!

A few weeks back, went to a wedding in Grand Rapids, MI. Turns out it was 1.5 blocks away from Vertigo Records, which I frequent whenever I'm in town. I desperately wanted to go, my wife wanted me to hang with the group at the reception. Turns out we got to the reception an hour early and absolutely nothing was happening.

So, my wife quotes the priest at the service. He said to the new bride (and new groom): "Don't try to change him." So, she says go ahead! 174 dollars later I picked up a bunch of stuff, some for my daughter. The kind of stuff you don't see. I mean, how many copies of Kinks State of Confusion can I possibly thumb through? This guy had just bought a collection and he had Lola and Arthur! I had to buy them, if they're better than mine, I'll give my oldies to my kids.

A black label Bowie Hunky Dory, I have the orange label, so I'll keep both (my youngest has LOTS of Bowie already).

And I bought the first Bowie on eBay, the reissue. I have two copies of Station to Station Bowie re-release vinyl, but I can't break it out until Christmas.

Here is my copy from Saturday
Paul I read on another forum that Red label with the bullseye started in 1971.
Which was the year that this album was released. From the middle of 1969 to
1971 lime green with the bullseye was used according to what I read

Made it thru 3 quarters of the Rutgers game with my son and figured I'd stop off at Vintage Vinyl since I was nearby. Son did not want to go in because it wasn't a Best Buy. Checked out the Black Friday stuff and got 3 45s

Save My Love-Springsteen
The Times they are a Changing/Like a Rolling Stone-Dylan
Live at Hollywood High- E Costello

Hit the used bin and got mint copies of:

Tommy-The Who
Bursting Out-Jethro Tull Live
In Search of the Lost Chord-Moody Blues-Original Deram Label and Inner Sleeve
Mixed Bag-Richie Havens-The Woodstock Show-Stopper! "Handsome Johnny" included in this album is plastered across the front cover. Lou Gossett has a writing credit for Handsome Johnny. Any relation to the Actor?

Got home and there was a box from Amazon with 2 LPs:
Doolittle-Pixies
The Con-Tegan and Sara

Wife working all weekend. Got some uninterrupted listening to do.

Got the booklet. It's MCA. It looks like it was never played so I just couldn't resist.

I already have a Decca copy (with the Rainbow Label) from around 1970 when I originally purchased the album. Although it's possible I wore out my first copy and bought the Decca copy later on as a replacement. Can't remember for sure.

Keith Moon's drumming on Tommy is just incredible. He was the Best.

Clean vinyl just beckons even when it's the second or third copy and (sometimes) even when it has a UPC code!
