There was a post here from someone who got a 'heavy' reissue' of a 10CC album, and found the treble extremely hot. This is the main criticism from the guy at Better Records for many reissues and MF in particular.

I got the new 'heavy' release of Dark Side of the Moon. I can't say it sounds 'hot', but it's a lot noisier than I would have expected.

The 30 year old Police and Bowie disk are extremely quiet, other than the occasional random tick or pop.

Look, I'm not defending the guy. Don't know anything about him or his company. I'm just gathering information. They claim they listen to everything they sell, except for sealed stuff, of course. It may be all a lot of marketing hype, but some of the stuff I read there was pretty entertaining.

I wasn't trying to argue with you about it or pick a fight.  If you are comfortable with the information you're getting then that's great.

Good luck...

A local college radio station aired a live interview(NPR) with Roky and one member
of Overkill River about this album. I got to listen to about half of it on a ride
home. The interview was alot of fun to listen to............Bill

Very cool. Roky has been through a lot to say the least. Do you remember the 13th Floor Elevators?

^^^^Got both the Squeeze lps when they 1st came out - I like 'em.

Should I be concerned that so many of the lps folks post as just bought on this thread are things I've had since, what seems to me, yesterday???

Man, I'm getting old.

I'm over 50 but didn't like most of this stuff when it came out.  Some of it came out before I was born.

I would be reluctant to judge people based on what they post in this thread.

  Todd
  A Wizard, A True Star
Initiation (Rhino release, horrible compared to the original Bearsville)
Kinks - Preservation Act II, 180 gm
Roxy Music - Standed 180 gm
The remastered Roxy albums are really good, by the way.
