Nice haul Jake. Did you find those in the Tri Cities?

Unfortunately no.  There is only one decent place to get new/used vinyl in TC, Adventures Underground, primarily a used book store.  The other place has absolute dreck.  Occasionally I'll get lucky at the thrift stores or an estate sale.

I went to Yakima on Saturday 4/17 for Record Store Day because there was one place that was listed on the Record Store Day website, Off The Record, with a link to their website which stated they were having a big sale that day.  Half price on all used vinyl plus a few deals on new vinyl.  Good haul there having spent ~$225.

My buddy John Hoffman ran across an ad on Craigslist for a shop in Union Gap called That 70's Shop and they touted vinyl as well as vintage equipment plus memorbilia and antiques.  Checked it out and they had a lot of vinyl so I ended up dropping another "C" note there.  All jazz titles including all the ECM records in the list plus a few other jewels.  Owner is a nice guy but not part of the Record Store Day group.  John said there is another place that is in a coin dealer's shop but I didn't make it there this time around, maybe next time.

Next year I'll try to make it to PDX as there are some great shops there plus a new acquaintence who resides there told me about a guy in Tigard that has a warehouse full of classical.  Sells by appointment only.

I have an antique/junk store here in town that I have scored about 200 LPs from. The collection of used is about 10K, but there are lots of duplicates in the collection. I know the owner and wish he would somehow make a list. I think it would help his sales if far away folks knew what he had, they might buy. He has been raising his prices, typically now $5. They used to be from a $1 to $3.

JakeJ, nice haul. Now get listening!

More shameless vinyl acquisitions.  I had Steve Vai's Passion & Warfare on back order for close to forever so when I got notification from Elusive disc I added Neil Young's Live at Massey Hall 1971 and then I noticed they had some MoFi vinyl and got John Lennon's Imagine.

I was in Tucson last week and here is what I picked up at 3 different stores: Twist & Shout, Toxic Ranch Records, and Zia.

Calexico Carried to Dust; The New Pornographers; She & Him; The Merry Go Round and Andrew Bird are new vinyl. Procol Harum and Star Wars were sealed. The Moody Blues double album is a German release. The Church albums are all Jerome's fault and The Strawbs is Bill's influence

Going to be going to a place called Bop Street Records in Ballard, close to Seattle on friday.  He is getting ready for a move pretty soon and is dropping his prices a little.  With 250,000 albums on the main floor and 200,000 in the basement I should be able to find something :)
