Just  found another used record store locally...but first exeperience was
mixed in terms of album condition.  some were great, some looked OK, but
had a fair amount of inner groove noise.

Talk about guilty pleasure...try David Gates "First." Solo from Bread leader. Great record, especially the pseudo-prog Clouds extended first song.

Lee Michaels' third album is a total winner. Can't believe it's just him and Frosty the drummer. Word was that the drummer was totally deaf, even back then! Talk about live in the studio, this album makes and breaks the mold in my book. I have three copies, each probably worth about 3 dollars.

had to get my Blondie fix!  :eyebrows:

I also had to find a replacement for Under a blood red sky, that mysteriously disappeared...  go figure.   musicstack.com to the rescue again...

Is that a new pressing, an oldie? Is the sound good?

i believe it is a new pressing. i received it as an x-mas gift from my father-in-law. it's been on backorder since x-mas so i just received it. it sounds very good to me, but i had never heard the album previous to this so i have no frame of reference.

I have 3 recent purchases to post. The first is from the local public radio station's annual record, CD & tape sale. All records on day 1 are $2.00 and $1.00 on day two. These were day one purchases. The most intriguing for me are the Willie Nile and David Gates records

The next two are from a recent business trip to Colorado. This one is from Twist & Shout Records in Denver. Kings of Leon, Chocolate Watch Band and the two Eric Clapton records are new vinyl. Thanks to Wayner for posting Camel in another thread

And this one is from Absolute Vinyl in Boulder. For those of you who have been to RMAF, Absolute Vinyl is Doug Gaddy's (For the Records) new store and name. Ultimate Spinach and Simon & Garfunkel are sealed vinyl, Ultimate Spinach is an original pressing. Bill, check out The Zombies record :thumb:

Hey Paul,

When are you going to start that thread for vinylholics who purchase more vinyl than the can possibly find time to clean and listen  I'm still working on an early January purchase from Stinkweeds in Phoenix.
:duh:

Happy listening ya'll,

Laura
