I've been looking for this one for a while.

Waniyetula- Nature's Clear Well

This was originally released in 1975 on an obscure German label called 'Venus'. It disappeared for 3 years until it was released in 1978 by US label, Visa, but with a band name change to Galaxy. Also with much improved cover art.

All, in all, it's a solid prog album with some near great moments.

$8 score at Amoeba in Hollywood.

Been on my list for a few years. Waiting for a US seller to come up with one for a reasonable price. Great record. Picked up a repressing of H to He. I may be about good with VDG.

Since my team out of SB, I drove up to Princeton Record Exchange yesterday to browse vinyl with Bill as my SB festivity, came home with a lot of new pressings, plus a nice near mint Deja Vu to replace my banged-up copy. Slowly getting into Steve Wilson's other, non-Porcupine Tree work, added 2 more titles there. A new copy of a Stones title I used to have on cassette, been looking for The Cat for awhile, Coheed and Cambria a recently acquired taste, and new copy of Brothers and Sisters also replaces a long gone cassette copy, and Bill helped me pick out a Parlophone issue of 'Sgt. Pepper'.

Then a few CDs, my first foray into Country with 2 George Jones 'Best Ofs', The Elias is nice Samba music, the Bud Powell has a version of 'Willow Weep for Me', I love that tune, and Raising Sand is just plain good, wish I'd gotten it in vinyl, but it was too pricey, and I was over my limit.

Posting CD's in the Vinyl Circle :nono:

Nice haul. Not familiar with C and C. Raising Sand on vinyl kicks the CD's butt, by a lot! Worth the $$$.

Why you chicken!!!  :nono:

That aside, it was good to see you yesterday and catch up, though as always at PREX, I spent too much money. And yet, I'm most annoyed for not going in for another $20 and getting Raising Sand on vinyl, especially as I had it in my hand. Oh well....

I just laid done $30 for one of these from Amazon.

Analog Productions 200 gram reissue of the famous, and much lauded,  (RCA Living Stereo, 'shaded dog') Fritz Reiner conducting the Chicago Symphony's performance of 'Scheherazade'.  Originals sell for upwards of $300.

I listened to it for the first time last night. All I can say is, bloody hell!

The quality of this recording is absolutely amazing. Detail, dynamics, transparency, imaging...all there. It is hard to point to any one thing that is so great about this recording, it does everything so well. Calling this a great recording is an understatement.

Not to mention the absolute silence of the vinyl.

Oh, and the performance is considered one of the best ever recorded.
