After A Quick Search it looks like I bought a 2nd pressing from 1980 for $20

One of those rare (and getting rarer) lucky vinyl days last Wednesday. Happen to hit up craigslist within minutes of guy  listing a box of 100 LPs for free that he wanted out of his house asap. Turns out he lives just 10 minutes away. These are just a few of the records I picked up - not mint, but all from VG++ to EX, and all very early pressings. Must of been lying around his house for years with no use. I'm still thanking my stars.

This came today.  My favorite avant garde Coltrane recording.

Hit 3 stores yesterday, 2 in Richmond and 1 in MD by U of Maryland. From Planet 9 in Richmond, the vinyl was cheap but quality was iffy. I bought the Brubeck for $1 as it's an unplayable 6-eye that I'll mount on the wall at some point.

From Deep Grove in Richmond, vinyl more expensive but very good quality. I've looked for the Lee Morgan title for 2 years, and so didn't cry, (much), at the $30 price tag. To put things in perspective all the Planet 9 items together were $33.

Then hit CD Depot looking for a Pete Townsend cd title I couldn't find, but grabbed the Elton John vinyl I've been looking for;

I haven't bought much lately. I was even in SF and visited Amoeba (cool store, a different vibe than my local Hollywood Amoeba) and Rasputen's (I was underwhelmed) on a vacation and couldn't bring myself to buy anything.

The latest was "Claim" by Not Drowning, Waving.

This is a very cool Australian band that sort of straddles the line between rock, ambient, world music (their Aboriginal Australin roots), prog-rock.

Very creative stuff from 1989.

Just curious since I see you live in southeast PA and I am over in cherry hill and try to head up there every 2-3 months.

Gotcha - was in every few months late '10 into early '12, now maybe 2 or 3 times a year.

And I'm overdue. :duh:
