Cymande - S/T

Finally! Finally found a original pressing of this one (recent reissues are some quite unimpressive Scorpio pressings. Learn how to spot a Scorpio and avoid them, is my advice in general).

A VG- but nice and quiet. A beauty.

Bob Dylan is 45 RPM MoFi. Fremer raves about it.

First post! And a great album. I bought the originals way back in the day. I'd like to say I was a music genius and aficionado but I'll bet I read a good review from Steve Simels in Stereo Review first. I don't remember hearing any of either two first Big Star records on WNEW-FM, the main player in the NYC area at the time. It gets a little worse because mine have the cutout holes punched in them, guess I even waited for the price to go down...

Wonder how the reissues sound! Or is it an original?

Welcome to AC (and great meeting you and Roscoe on Friday)

Paul

Laura, let us know how those sound. Been curious about both.

New Jack White is in a DELUXE packaging for sure! I love when the records come with poly - lined sleeves.

Goat
World Music

First listen first side: good enough to play twice in a row! (that used to bother me, but I've been assured that twice in a row is OK)
Side 2 soon...

Roscoe,

The Bob Dylan 45 RPM is absolutely terrific. I have an original mono of this record plus the pressing that is in the mono box set of Dylan's first 9 albumsand this is clearly the best this album has sounded. Great dynamics, detail and everything that was in the studio that day. If you like this record at all, get this before it is too late.

I've only listened to a couple of side of the LZ record. so far pretty decent for a live recording.

Laura,

I was worried you'd say that. On to the want-list it goes...
