Rubisa Patrol -

One of the best ECM releases from the 80's. Art Lande on piano is great, Mark Isham on trumpet really stands out.

Incredible playing, haunting melodies, great communication by all members.

Dang Lee, Santa was pretty nice to you. You must have been a very good boy this year. But I can't complain since the wife got me a first stamper original Sonny Rollins "The Bridge".

You must have done something right too, a first stamper WOW, all mine are re-issues, I'm yet to hear a first stamper!

Last day of the year.  Good time for a record store trip.
A couple new lps, a couple upgrades, a couple lps for a young vinyl guy and a couple more.

OK, Pumpkin, this batch separates the fans from the wannabe's...The Move Looking On is the first record Roy Wood did with Jeff Lynne and represents true experimentation different than either of them had ever done. They found their groove, so to speak, on the next record, Message from the Country which was done as The Move dissolved into ELO. The American version cut a few of the "weaker" songs out to make the US only release, Split Ends, but I digress.

Looking On is such a strange record and way back in the day, I felt as if I had found the last existing copy at my local Record Warehouse and in college I treasured and loved it to death even though it is a flawed release in many ways. If you are heretofore unfamiliar with it and you like Shazam, I think you will be in for a real historical treat.

Because if anybody knows the Biz at all, they know that he positively LOVES The Move.

Happy New Year to you and all my friends at AudioCircle.

Thanks Paul,
I have ''Split Ends'' but no "Message From The Country" and can't ever remember seeing it.

I immediately thought of you when I saw the P'mans catch of the day. I have 2 copies of Split Enz. I have Message from the Country on CD, but not vinyl. Time to get serious about finding a copy.

Happy New Year All

Rhino & Elektra combined on two great albums. Both cut from the orginal analog master tapes. If you like Forever Changes, you will want this reissue. It kills the Sundazed reissue.

I ordered one on Amazon, the 2012 version, hope it's the right one! (Love, that is)

Gotta get Message Pman. You will not be disappointed. My favorite Move album. It Wasn't My Idea To Dance is a classic.

Yes, that 2012 Love is the right one. And I agree with Laura, it is glorious. A real improvement over my Sundazed.
