From Joe's Record Paradise in Silver Springs MD (a short walk from the Metro). Thanks to Gene for recommending Joes.

Magician's Birthday and One replace noisy copies from college days. I bought the Head East album primarily for the cover although I like Flat as a Pancake. Paul, I am looking forward to hearing the live Crack the Sky album.

Arghhhhhhhhhhhhhh!

Where you there yesterday, (Thurs)?

I was going to stop in but changed mind at last minute, but would have swung by to meet you and say hello.

I'll be back in DC the week of May 7th if you're around.

Gene

Nektar – Magic Is A Child

Cool album. Not as good as their classic stuff with Roye Albrighton on guitar, but it still gets a few spins around my house.

And of course it has, the then 12 year old, Brooke Shields on the cover.

The 5/4 date is one of the best shows of the tour, and this particular DS is melt-your-face good.

I haven't spun the LP yet. I won' t be listening to it until I have the time to make a 24/96 copy.

It wouldn't surprise me if the LP plays better than the CD. I believe they made a new master for the LP, and didn't merely recycle the 16/44.1 CD master.

Great sounding record although songwriter John Palumbo was temporarily out of the group at the time...

An estate brought boxes of records into 4000 Holes for Bob to look at and purchase for resale. Bob was cherry picking the collection. Most of the records were in M to NM condition with an anti-static sleeve. In addition to these I replaced some older Pink Floyd records becasue these were in much better shape than the ones I have owned since the 60's and 70's.
