On the last leg of my 2969 mile road trip I went through Ann Arbor, Michigan and stopped at

Encore Records
417 E Liberty St., Ann Arbor, MI.

and picked up:

Eloy – Planets  (yes it's the UK picture disk pressing  :D)
Mahogany Rush – Child Of The Novelty
Family – Fearless

Encore Records is a great record store with reasonable prices - if in Ann Arbor MI, it is the place to checkout  :thumb:

On my way out of town I also stopped into

P J's Records & Used C D's
617 Packard St # B, Ann Arbor, MI 48104

and picked up

Deep Purple – Made In Europe

10 days on the road - 10 record stores  :D

PJ always has stories to tell, I enjoy his store a lot. You have to move boxes around to see everything and his "first pressing" labels are sometimes a little optimistic. Encore is incredibly vast, good stuff if you have patience and know what to look for.

Quote
Mom's Apple Pie was an American ten-member rock band from Warren, Ohio. They were best known for their album cover, and also for the voice of the lead singer Bob Fiorino.

The band released two albums, Mom's Apple Pie in 1972 and Mom's Apple Pie II in 1973. A third album was recorded but was not released until 2011. Their manager was Larry Patterson, and they recorded on a record label owned by Terry Knight, Brown Bag Records. The band enjoyed a successful career nationally and toured extensively across the United States. Venues included a wide array of college campuses, clubs, concert halls, the Whiskey A-Go-Go in Los Angeles and Madison Square Garden. They performed with such artists as The Doobie Brothers and David Bowie. Patterson, booked the demo session with record producer Kenny Hamann, at the Cleveland Recording Company. Pia Knight, Terry's wife, overheard the demo being played in one of the rooms in the back of the recording studio, and convinced her husband to sign the group.

The more famous album cover of the 1st lp. The LPs inner sleeve resembled a brown shopping bag

Oh man was the CHIRP Record Fair in Chicago good for my collection/bad for my wallet. To writ:

Hendrix "Band of Gypsies" (Classic 140g)
Nina Simone "Pastel Blues" (Mono)
Hendrix "Are You Experienced" (Reprise)
Big Boi "Sir Lucious Left Foot: The Son of Chico Dusty"
Smiths "Queen is Dead"
New Order "Power, Corruption & Lies"
Eno & Byrne "Life in the Bush of Ghosts"
Rolling Stones "Exile on Main Street" (Unipak US original)
Destoyer "Kaputt"
The The "Infected"
Peter Gabriel "Fingers" (2nd album)
Art of Noise "Who's Afraid of the Art of Noise?"
Grateful Dead "Anthem of the Sun"
Roxy Music "Country Life" (censored sadly, but the price was right)
Beatles "Revolver" (Purple Label)

So much for my Record Store Day budget.

And the cherry on top is that a Townshend Rock 7 arrived yesterday too. So get to spin them on this TT I have salivated over for a long while. Good vinyl days.
