Thanks Decal.  I have the CD of Skin Deep and love it, but thought I'd see how the vinyl version compared.  Have never heard the NY album, but it gets such great comments I figured it would be a worthwhile pick up.

Laura, I have a sealed cutout Split Ends by The Move. Of all the albums I've owned, I can't for the life of me figure out what happened to my original. Anyway, it's not really an original. They took their last studio album, Message From The Country and cut out three songs, Don't Mess Me Up, My Marge and Ben Crawley Steel Company.

And they added in a bunch of singles that were released at the time, cuts that did NOT appear on the UK album, including Down On The Bay, Chinatown, Do Ya (the original is better than ELO's, more raw). Guess they figured that the ploy would work to get the Americans to buy it. Next to Shazam, it's a great starting place for The Move.

I so want a copy of Aerial Ballet by Nilsson. I've got my eyes peeled. Missed a copy by seconds at a record show last year; it looked to be in good condition for only 10 bucks. But alas, I missed it.

Didja spin that Elton John yet?

And BTW, Jellyfish is a new FAVORITE of mine. I liked the first album best. This week I like the second album best.

I would assume your The Yes Album is a double? I can't imagine you don't have one!

I've been thinking about buying this release. Do you have the original on Stax to compare it to?

Got these this morning from what's fast becoming a regular little haunt - The Shakespeare Hospice Book and Music Store.

The way I look at it is I'm making a nice little charitable donation and these are just a bit of a bonus  :D
Unfortunately my other half doesn't quite see it this way

The two Elton John's look and sound as if they've never been out of the cover
The other three are used, but no scratches and will steam up nicely.

Just keep telling the Mrs. that you are doing it for the needy. That you will now be able to sleep nights having helped others.  :thumb:

I've had this one since it came out, but my copy was a little noisy and I have been looking for a clean on and found it.

You guys are all nuts. I suspect Laura is the worst. She is buying LPs all the time!!!!!

It's like a sick, little, Freudian illness. It creeps in slowly at first, then picks up speed and before you know it, your planning an addition to the house. No, not for entertaining, but for storage........

Guilty as charged.   Wait till I post what I bought Friday before going to the airport. Found another record store in Phoenix--Tracks in Wax--and came away with some gems, including some MoFi's. Vinylitis is what my local record store owner calls it. :D He just sent me an email telling me the live Decemberists double album is in.

I just picked up the America LP as well. Pretty good for a redo.

My wonderful sister decided that she wanted my America LP back in 1971 and she came over to my room and helped herself to it.

War broke out, and I ended up with it again, but, not in very good condition.

I'm thinking I should send it to her after 40 some years, with a note, "OK, now you can have it".
