decal,

How does that version of Who's Next sound? I've only got a bargain bin copy with tons of noise. It's high on my to-replace list, but I haven't been sure whether to go with a new reissue or keep an eye out for a clean used copy...

As for my new vinyl, Mastodon "Blood Mountain" and Bjork "Biblophilia" just arrived.

Cat Power "You Are Free", St. Vincent "Marry Me" and a Von Freeman LP await my pick-up downtown...

Great catch, Tim!

Paul

Thanks Paul, I'm enjoying all of them.  The Ike and Tina LP I was not familiar with at all.  One of the places I buy vinyl from had it playing the last two times I was there.  It got into my head.  :green:  I finally asked him, Who *is* this?  The next time I was in there I bought it, a really cool album.

In Washington DC on business and went to Red Onion and Crooked Beat records tonight (both in Adams Morgan). I wanted to make it to Joe's in Silver Springs but ran out of time.

My first three Michael Hedges album. I heard Watching My Life Go By (middle record) in the Soundsmith room at RMAF and loved it.

I now have an original, 45 RPM remastered and Nautilus release of Rumours. :thumb: Adding to my Robyn Hitchcock and XTC collections (I can't believe I missed both of them the first time around.)

All mint or near mint condition.

I've been working my way through 4 boxes of LPs that a friend dropped off.  It's a mix of his and his parents' albums with quite a variety.  Ran across this today:

No idea why they had both the LP and the 45s but both are in excellent condition and sound lovely.

In a weak moment I bought a copy of FZ Hot Rats Clarity 200g vinyl on eBay, now out of print. 60 bucks (ouch!). But I love the record and my Bizarre copy is a bit worn. I've seen conflicting reviews so I'll have to decide for myself and report back.

In a stupid moment I didn't buy it when it was originally available before Classic Records took a dump.

Frank Zappa  :D

I confess in my 63 years on this earth I have never listened to him or knowingly listened to any of his songs.

Frank Zappa is a little bit like Firesign Theater with better music.

I have plenty of his LPs...

Vinyl Lady,
You'd just better get out there and pick up some Zappa before you turn 64.
I've probably got 30 Zappa records, another 30 releases on CD.
He had more musical ideas in one song than some bands had in their entire careers.
The 200g Hot Rats is really a good one.
What happened to Classic Records?
