Soundbars and lipsync delay
« on: 29 Sep 2019, 03:08 pm »
Hi
Purchased one a few days ago primarily for dialogue.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07MXD513F/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o04_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Good reviews. No subwoofer and most importantly HDMI ARC connection since I didn't want another remote control to deal with.
Volume is controlled with my cable company remote.

I do notice that the  lipsync delay is a fraction of a second but noticeable. Annoying at times.

This seems to be a common complaint by owners with soundbars in general win I Googled it. Articles on how to solve it weren't helpful.

Do I have the wrong soundbar? Is it the HDMI ARC connection? If I went with the  optical connection would that solve it?

Thanks in advance

Most televisions have a menu key which will lead you to choices for sound output.  Their should be a lip sync +/- increase or decrease so it matches up with visual.  Hope this helps.

Thanks guys

Went to Best Buy this afternoon and purchased a Sonos Beam to compare

A bit more expensive ($150 more) but a MUCH better soundbar with adjustable dialog synchronization. :thumb:

Will be returning the Soundcore to Amazon
