System Overview

It's slowly evolving upward as funds and opportunities present themselves. Replaced separates with Kora integrated. New speaker (for me), WOW!! Sony 999 with Modwright mods is a revelation.

Room Description

Front Room/Dining Room,Kitchen. Large rectangle with one irregular corner. Glass on two entire walls. Fairly deep pile carpet over all except kitchen which has brakfast counter in front of it.

Acoustic Treatment

Had some 8th Never corners, etc. but when we moved to a new place with much thicker carpet they became extraneous so I removed them.

Listening Impressions

Things are really nice now. I'm definitely a tube guy and the ProAc speakers work wonderfully with the Kora gear and Sony modded CD Player.

Media Storage

It's all going digital streamed from my PC. Need to go to a NAS, media server at some point but the get in point is still unclear to me.

Other Comments

Moving toward a Logitech Transporter probably with Modwright treatment. I'll probaby end up streaming all my music from a server and reserve the CD player for new, rare or special occassions the streaming is just too convenient to not focus on.
