Grounding Question
« on: 8 Apr 2007, 12:13 am »
Hi,
I have the Large case TVC kit.I am wondering if the RCA connectors need to be insulated from the chassis?I have the RCA connectors that were sent with the kit,I don't have enough threads on the connectors to put a bushing on both sides of the back plate. Please advise.
Thanks,
Bryan

Hello!

Wow  - is that one of the original TX102 large case kits? Here I thought I tend to put off projects for a long time! The last of those shipped maybe 3 years back or so.....

In answer to your question the RCA's should be insulated from the chassis.  I have used various RCA's over time - back when we did the tx102 kits and the NOH kits we used mostly WBT Topline and Vampires cm2F/CB and sometimes a less expensive Vampire RCA as an option as well. Give a call (604) 538-9812 or an e-mail and we'll sort out just what you need in any case.

Many Thansk!
