On my way to pick up a new cd I stopped by the audio shop and they had just picked up a collection of 5,000 classical LP's.  And me with nothing to spin them on.  But once I got to the cd store the owner tells me he just purchased a jazz collection of 1,000 plus cd's.  I picked out 20 and had to stop before I couldn't buy groceries.  At random I pulled out the above.  I also picked up the GRP All-Star Big Band and it's follow up with Dave Grusin, Ella, Miles Davis, Coltrane, Gershwin's - The Piano Rolls, Wes Montgomery, Dick Hyman - Plays Duke Ellington, Sam Getz, Wynton Marsalis and the list goes on.

Nightwish's..."Over the Hill and Faraway".  (with Tarja of course) This is one more reason why CD rules as a format : great dynamics..IMO :thumb:
Uhm... Nightwish is one of the bands that have the most horrible blown up sound ever... They even pass Metallica's Death Magnetic, and they have done so from day one...

That's only your opinion buddy.  We all have our preferences and that don't make you a judge as to what sound is good or bad...... :nono:

CD: MAKING MIRRORS

2012 release from Belgian-Aussie artist Wally de Backer - AKA Gotye.

Best Track: Somebody That I Used to Know

Listen: Somebody That I Used to Know - YouTube

This song sticks in my head for days after I listen to it. Generally, there's always music playing in my head, but for some reason this one sticks, and drives me a bit nuts. Go ahead, listen to the whole song and see if it doesn't stick.

The album "Poem" by Delirium . (This is a burned copy of my original and in some ways it seems more dynamic sounding. Could there be some truth in that copying alters CD sound?) :P

I did not comment on the overall quality of their sound, which seems to work for them, I was merely pointing out the complete lack of dynamics in their mastering.
