My friend has the GR and raves about. Oddly enough he had the much more expensive G version previously and sold it. He said the only difference for him was that the G was built to a higher standard. Aside from that, they're very close sonically. He's done one simple inexpensive mod to the table. He placed the $30 Teac Washi paper turntable mat on top the stock mat. It's extremely thin, so no need to be concerned about adjusting VTA. Unfortunately, looks like it may be tough to find if you were curious.
