Looking for an inexpensive used TT with arm and cartridge that sounds good and has auto lift at the end of play.

I have an Elac 50H with Shure V15 IV cartridge.  It works great and has auto stop.  It can also play everything from 16 to 78.  I will take $150, which is what the cartridge alone is bringing on eBay.  Give me a call if interested.  Thanks for your time.   Best, Kent 636-399-8053

I have a matched pair of CIFTE 12au7 tubes from Upscale Audio in boxes available for sale for $80.00.  They have low hours(<200) and retail for $68.00 a piece in the Platinum grade.  These are from 1962....any questions please ask.
thanks
Don

ISO reasonably-priced CD recorder on which to copy LPs.  Made the mistake of letting the warden join me at a used LP store, and she bought some Christmas LPs.

You REALLY think I'm gonna let her use my SOTA/ET-2 rig to play background music?????    :nono:  :cuss:

The sooner the better as she comes home on Dec 20th.  I'll be in STL in the coming weeks and can pick up.  Recommendations on a new unit also welcome.  HURRY!

Instead of making digital copies, you should embrace her desire to hear vinyl in its true form, and get her a system of her own. A nice table, a nice preamp, some good speakers and a tube amp.

Yea. That would be awesome.

Now that we have moved some of the gear to new homes, here is a partial list of gear we still have for sale from Ben's estate in Cape. Please note that we do not have all the gear in one place, so if you want to demo something, you need to call or email ahead of time. All the gear will be available to inspect, measure and listen to if it is being sold as working.

With some of the gear not totally assembled, or missing parts, or not in speaker enclosures, etc, this will be obvious at that time. As gear being sold from an estate, it is being sold as is at the time of the sale, but we will make every effort to provide you with all information we have regarding techs, tube availability and so on that will help you in your new ownership. All tube amplifiers are sold with a full set of tubes, most of them are top notch. Please feel free to ask questions. Local sales highly preferred, as we do not have shipping boxes at this time.

Anyone interested in a pair of perfect Von Schweikert VR-2's?  African hazel wood, low hours, almost 5 years old.  Second owner, very well taken care of.  Very nice shape, AGON rating of 9.  Asking $1100.  Filled with sand, so I wanna sell them locally or within a short drive.  Tons of terrific reviews and a very reasonable price.  Bass response down to 25kHz and 88db sensitive, so pretty much anything drives them but more power = better bass obviously.

The pic was showing up sideways in the preview, but you get the idea.  Gimme a shout with questions.  Have a great NY everyone!

Hey guys,

A good buddy of mine is selling his Carver Audio Silver Edition Speakers for $695.

Here's the photos:
http://stlouis.craigslist.org/ele/4802977196.html

I can vouch for him. He's a better human that I am.
I've listened to the speakers for a brief time, and they work as designed.

If you're not into Craigslist, you can get to him through me, if you feel more comfortable.
Local sale preferred, as he doesn't have the shipping boxes.
If necessary, I can offer myself and my vehicle for shipping, but it's going to cost you some nice microbrew.

Love you guys!  :thumb:
Have a great day.  :D
Bob

* FREE * FREE * FREE * FREE *

Cleaning out the office warehouse.  I have a couple of items to give away:
1. Solid Steel audiophile rack.  I bought this new.  It is a double wide 3 shelf rack, color black.  I believe the model number is S-5, but I'm not sure.  It is a bit dusty, but looks to be in great shape.  Available for pickup at our facility in Overland.
2. My grandfather's ancient Zenith "Wave Magnet" Trans-Oceanic radio.  From the WW II era and cosmetically in rough shape.  But appears that all parts are there.  Hey, it's free!  Also in Overland.

Also.... Not Free....

I have a Tim Rankin F5 clone amp.  Tim built this for me.  I used it while my Fi 2A3 was back at Don's for repair.  Used one summer, then tucked away in a cabinet (not the warehouse!).  $400, with pickup in the Clayton area.  Fabulous amp, used it with Zu Definition speakers.

I do not check in here often.  Perhaps best to email me at: kphelan @at# accesscourier #dot@ !com&

Thanks a lot.  ---Kent Phelan

OTOH, I'd be delighted to take that rack off your hands, and I'll be in STL Thursday afternoon.  Seriously, we can keep it in  the family.
