Title: Servo subwoofer
Post by: twodolphins on 24 Apr 2020, 05:50 am
Dear Duke

Would there be any additional benefit in using servo drives (like Rythmik audio) to build The Swarm system ?

The Rhythmiks are GREAT subwoofers in my opinion.

But I would not really be adding to the choices you have by incorporating Rhythmik's servo system in the Swarm.   If you want four servo subs, then just buy them directly from Rhythmik.  I'm pretty sure they won't mind!

Why not buy 2-3 of Dukes designed subs then 1 larger.  So 2-3 32" and 1 - 44"

Duke,
Good to hear from you. Hope all is well.
I’m half way done with my servo swarm. 2 fronts done and boxes complete for the back 2.
If I remember correctly, you have a preamp level controller that has a volume pot and some kind of subsonic EQ for these. It would be nice to know a bit more about that box. Not sure if it had amps etc.?
If it will work with the PEQ 370 servo amps (low voltage/rca input) I would be interested in one.
