That cable certainly looks familiar..

As everyone else is aware, Jason works magic with his cables, not only do you get superlative support during the build, you get it after as well. He goes above and beyond for his clients, his Knot headphone cable being my first from him, and the SQ increase from that made me a recurring customer from then on.

My next endeavor was something slightly different from usual for him, RAAL Immanis. A ribbon headphone that requires a transformer interface for amplifiers, as it is usually 0.25 ohm impedance (cable and headphones), it along with other factors allow the amp to see a normal 32ohm load. Headphone cable for that has specifications it must meet for expected performance, so I focused on the cable from the interface to the amplifier (for now).

When I received it, I was first taken with how they looked, jason really has a certain design philosophy that makes his work stand out from the rest. I noticed it with my Knot and I notice it with my interface cable, so unique.

On first listen, I could tell it was a upgrade from the first second of listening, instantly more dynamism, better controlled top end, marginally more transparent/detailed, little to no tonality change, but it still needed some hours on them to hear the finalized capabilities. Which unsurprisingly was a rollercoaster

it took about 2 weeks exactly for it to be done burning in, which Jason already let me know of, right on the money.
What I heard from it was honestly still surprising, even though I listened to it change nearly everyday. Once it was done I was met with remarkable dynamics that I had to turn down the volume on my pre/dac, randomly startled me on the final day of burn-in. The next mesmerizing quality was Realism and "3D" effect of everything, not only was transparency increased but dimensionality of vocalists and instruments was so apparent that I could close my eyes and transport to the venue, hall, studio, you name it. If my eyes were open my brain would be confused since it is conveying so much sound cues like the space, reflections/reverberations of the room, along with note decay, but still be in my chair and in my bedroom, it was jarring.
I also found that leading edges of notes, along with overall detail was more apparent, allowing me to hear more into recordings. Immanis already shocked me how it could make every song different sounding, the cable only further increased its performance delta. Bass in particular was even easier to follow, with sublime texture/definition and highlighting the foundation and rhythm, whether it was Upright Bass, Cellos, Bass Guitar, and Drums. Icing on the cake was that tonality was ultimately unchanged, preserving Immanis' sound signature.
It easily supplanted my stock interface cable, comparing both I couldn't help but notice everything was less real sounding, along with decreased dynamics but having more midbass quantity, giving a sense of grey. I would get frisson for nearly every song with jason's cable, but would feel nothing when switching to stock, I wish that was exaggeration.
Like I told jason in private, he had done it again, making the listening experience transformative with his cables, and that was the final straw. If I need an endgame cable for my system, I'm going Hapa.
Well Done.
