That's a good deal for someone.  Al may have used the hot glue method on that veneer.  If so, you may can place a cotton cloth over the lifted areas, and press firmly with a hot iron for 12-15 seconds to reset the glue.  It's worth giving Al a call or a PM.

Those speakers are untouchable at that price.  Even if the asking price was $1000 higher, I still can't think of anything that comes close.  That is a smoking hot deal.

The veneer on these plus a few others we did with the batch of Figured Makore all had the similar issues.

Repairable NO we tried over and over with no luck.

Best sit back a bit and just listen.

Those cosmetic issues aren't that big of a deal.  It's like a Ferrari with a few dents or a super model with two pimples.  What would you rather have... a serious high performance speaker with a few blemishes for practically next to nothing... or a picture perfect pretty speaker that sounds inferior?

At that price for speakers that look as good as they do, I sure wouldn't complain. They should go quick seeing as how you are giving them away

Thanks all for the kind words on the OB-5......I appreciate it.  They don't look all that bad, but they sound phenomenal - which is what really counts.
