Sure... but... what is No Rez? Sounds like an absorber material... (sorry if that's a stupid question)

NoRez is a 2-layer damper and absorber that we offer.

The bottom layer is a 70mil mass-loaded vinyl with a self-adhesive backing designed to control cabinet resonances by adding mass to the walls.
Then the top layer is a 1" open-cell foam which balances out the airspace taken up by the vinyl damping layer, and also helps to control internal reflections.

Thanks!
I'll check what I would have to pay for import taxes and custom fees.

Look for products locally like Canopus or Dynamat. I use the Canopus material due to cost to performance. They are dampening materials that are self-adhesive to the surface you are trying to quiet down. They only have the asphalt like material, and foil, no open cell foam like No-Rez. No-Rez is the best stuff to use, but if not feasible, these other products do work pretty well. I've included a link to Canopus so you can read a little about it.

Best of Luck,

Hey everyone!

Not long ago, I learnt that KEF (like many other manufacturers) use low-tier parts for the crossovers of middle-class speaker series...
With solid constructed cabinets (MDF with bracings) and the drivers that can perform way better than with the stock crossovers, I started wondering...

I bought a couple of Mundorf caps and resistors, new binding posts and SOMMER cable for internal wiring.

This is the crossover HT/MT board out of the box

Hi, I really appreciate what you have done and I have a few questions.

Which are the values (voltage rating and capacity) of the capacitors C1, C2, C3, C4? I am asking since I found out the woofer is screwed in the wood of loudspeaker box without a metal socket and I would like to remove the woofer as few times as possible when I work on the crossover.

Do you think it improves sound quality to replace resistors? (I did not find a physical explanation?)

Best regards
