I bought a set of the 85hz hi pass filters and they've totally transformed my humble rig consisting of a Stan Warren built Aiwa changer/MSB Gold Dac> Odyssey Tempest> Odyssey Stratos Monos>Merlin TSM-M>Mirage BPS150 sub. IC are Gronenburg and speaker cable is Straley.
Everything is improved. Detail, tone, soundstage. I suspect that by taking the low end load off the Morel woofer, it can act more like a midrange unit now. I don't notice any downside. Best $30 I ever spent on audio.
Now, I gotta get a better sub. Must put ACI on the list!
