tieing the knot
« on: 27 Feb 2010, 10:29 pm »
Well, I've got my belt tieing jig made, got the proper polyester(yeck) monofilament....now I need to improve my knot tieing technique.  I even googled a quick tutorial on making the specified knot, but I suck at it, so far.
Never was a boyscout, I guess. (didn't want to get pantsed!)
Any advice, let me know....
Thanks
Chas

TK-
Just practice, is all I'd suggest. With the polyester filament that the Amadeus uses for a belt, it's a bit like tieing knots with hair (or really fine fishing line). A bit fiddly at first, but well worth it considering you'll then have free belts for life.

Thanks, Mike, I used to be able to tie my crappie jig on my line in a downpour so I think eventually I'll manage....and that was a cinch knot (no pun, if you please)

I use polyester sewing thread and tie a square knot. I think that the magenta colored thread that Mrs. Planet 10 gave me is pretty nice.
