Great review!

Remember my first encounter with the b100 well. Before I thought spending money on speakers was the best way of improving the sound. After the B100 chose to live with us, my speakers (focal) underwent such  dramatic change in character, or their basic character was alowed to shine through, that I still enjoy them.

Having said that, would love to hear the B135 drive the T's!

Cheers,
Bob

I have a new pair of B&W CM10 speakers now driven by a NAD C375BEE Integrated Amp.  Would there be aural value in upgrading my electronics to the Bryston B135 SST2, and what differences might I expect to hear?

I think you are asking if anyone has test driven a Porsche 911 versus a Mazda RX-8.

Not a particularly helpful answer, gtaphile, but thanks anyway for responding.  I have a very critical ear for sound nuance, and I was hoping someone might have some more specific feedback from a similar upgrade path.

I ordered one of the factory refreshed units from Audio Advisors, a great value given the Bryston warranty and quality reputation.  I will give it an audition in my listening room and report back what I think in a few weeks.

Is a signal sent out of the preout rca's even when the unit is running speakers?   If so, I presume that is in "connected" mode?

Just want to confirm its easy to bolt on a sub if desired.

thanks!

Old thread, but i try to ask here.
B135 2014 model, is there any updates on this one before the B135 Cubed?
And what dac is in it, Bda1 or Bda2?

Hi

No updates other than the new Cubed version.  The DAC was different from the BDA-1 - it was limited to 96/24.

Thankyou, got this question from a member in the norwegian "Hifisentralen" forum who just bought one with internal Dac and also wanted to buy the Bda1.
Better to save some more money and buy the Bda3 imo :)

Hi James

When using the B135 sst2 as a preamp, is it possible to turn off the poweramp section?
