Thread belts
« on: 11 Mar 2016, 12:15 am »
I bought an Amadeus a few years ago (used). The previous owner included about 5 belts and a spool of thread with the turntable. Four of the belts broke; the last one has lasted a long time. Any day now I'm waiting for my final belt to break. So, a few questions:

1. What makes some belts last longer than others?
2. What are the "tricks" to tying up a good belt?

I suggest you use a nylon belt (fishing line) of the same thickness.
I use it for over two years and is still perfect!

I read that old forum discussion before but had forgot about it. I didn't intend to start another thread material discussion; I have no intention of trying something different than the recommended material. I guess there's no trick to it, so I'll just tie a few up and install them when needed.
