WGH

The Wailing starts with two bumbling policeman arriving at a gruesome murder scene, it probably happened because the family ate some bad wild mushrooms although mushrooms never had this effect before. Then more villagers go insanely mad, is it the stranger living in the forest, the girl in white, the shaman, a malevolent ghost? Who is bringing this mysterious disease to the small town of Goksung?

The Wailing grabs your attention and doesn't let you go for 156 minutes. Don't read any reviews, let the plot unfold naturally, you won't be disappointed.
Hint: watch the first 5 minutes again after finishing the film for a deeper understanding of what just happened.

Watched it the other night. Excellent. One question, what made the hired shaman think the "Jap" was not the evil spirit and was instead a shaman tracking down the "woman in white."
