 :D  as of now i am using an Oppo for a trans.my budget for a player or trans is bout' 2-3-4 grand.sooo,lookin' for the 'one' to last some time.... :D

If I was thinking high end transport right about now I would seriously have to consider computer based audio and a decent DAC.

:D  that seems like a long way around,computer based might be the way to go,but it does not really have my interest.i love plug-play,get the cd out kinda thing.and it's faster than vinyl,but of course not as good. :D

I hear 'ya. The wife wanted to get me an i-Pod for Christmas and I told her no way. Just the thought of having to burn CD's into it pisses me off (I sit in front of a computer all day, and don't want to see one when I come home). Plus it wouldn't fit the whole collection anyway and I'd have to swap out every once in a while.

Computer Audio might be the way to go, but the process of getting there is daunting. Yes, I still like vinyl too (I guess I'm old and nostalgic).
