The previous superchunks I built were with regular "pink fluffy" insulation and had a 34" face. They work really well. I am needing to build some more of these in another room. I have several sheets of Owens Corning Fire Bat (similar to Safe and Sound) left from another project that I was hoping to use. The material is only 15" wide so if I cut it into triangles then the face of the traps would only be a little over 21". I realize that larger superchunks are better and part of the design.
So my question is this still worth building since it has such a smaller footprint?
Does the denser material make up for the fact that it is smaller?
Would I be better off building panels that straddle the corner instead?
