I forgot about the battery power option for the SB2.  I'll have to play with things and see what sounds/looks best.

I've never heard of Brick Wall before. I checked out their website and their devices look interesting. The surge protection makes sense, but do they do much line conditioning? What about using digital amps and if a balanced isolation transformer is necessary. Do the Brick Wall units have one?

The Brick Walls provide very good filtering judging by a significant improvement in the overall sound when plugging into them, (I must have dirty electricity). I had ordered a PS Audio Ultimate Outlet at the same time  and found the Brick wall to "sound" much better.  
   As far as a balanced isolation transformer, I think you'll have to look elsewhere for that.

I have used a Brick Wall Line filter for 5 years now and my system is extremely quiet with an all tubes set up. For $250 since I bought it I just don't think about conditioners anymore. I've gone through a few $$ of them.
