I know a few people heard these at the show, but has anyone else heard these or own these yet?  Just curious.

Does anyone know what happened to the VR77 model? Is this model still in the developmental stages or has it been scratched? Just curious.

Henry (A happy VR5 Anni owner)

ps. Is there any plans for VSA at CES 2012 in Vegas?

Hey Henry..

I think the VR44s have displaced the 77s.

Hey Gavin,

In fact, VR 44 + VR 33 = VR 77, right? :)

The VR 77 is a rather huge system, in between the VR 9 and VR 11.
These days our clients like the same sound from a smaller cabinet.

This is done in the VR 44, and VR 5 SE.

I'm looking forward to a VR-22 right now, that and a flagship speaker smaller than the 11. Albert and I have talked at length about what form a future VR-100 might take. With the world economy the way it is, I agree with Corr that a speaker in the 50k to 70k range wouldn't be a priority. I think the 33's, 35's and 44's timing is perfect. Now bring in another cost/performance killer in the 22 (final form still being decided AFAIK) and we get a nice broad set of products with price points for everybody.

VSA will be partnering with Audio Power Labs at CES. I believe it will be the VR-5 Anniversary Mk.2 shown. As for the amps I don't know if it will be the 200wpc Push Pull 833s or a completely the new amplifier Audio Power said they would launch this year, the 50TNT.
