Title: AK240 Modification
Post by: Silvo on 24 Feb 2015, 02:32 pm
:D I recently sent my AK240 from the UK to Vinnie at Red Wine for the stage one modification. The service for this modification was excellent, the unit was returned in two weeks.

The bass is much improved and the whole sound is much more exciting.

Well worth the effort for anyone considering this Mod.

Is there a big difference in listening to hi-res downloads vs redbook?

Hi pegleg85,

Welcome to the RWA forum!

Your question is not uncommon, and my answer is "It all depends on the recording."   :)

Dear Vinnie R,

I'm owning rwak240, everything is excellent, working flawless, except one thing. There is my volume wheel is quite sensitive. When i gain the volume, i spin the wheel, and the volume (the volume in display) sometimes goes up and down.

Is there is a problem of ak240 modification? So how i can solve this?

Hope to be received ur reply. I'm living in Singapore.
