With all this talk about the HT3, I wonder if anyone can chime in about the HT1? Any owners out there?

I demo'd them in my system for a week.

What do you want to know?

They sounded pretty good on their own.  When I actively crossed them at 70 hz to my subs, I got lost in the music and placed my order for the HT3's....

It seems that the SEAS midrange really responds in a positive way to not having to play the lowest notes.

On their own they are very nice, especially in smaller rooms like the hotel room I heard them in at AKFest.  In larger rooms I would recomend you actively XO them to subs.

You might also want to check the reviews of the Ellis 1801's.

Both speakers are similar in that DM designed both XO's.  They use the same (mid) woofer.

The Ellis uses the Hiquephon OW1 tweeter, and the HT1 uses the LCY Ribbon tweeter.

I believe the HT1's are 19"x9"x15" (HxWxD) in their standard configuration.  The sealed version is only 15" tall.

I have the HT-1's and love them; however, I have decided to move up to the Ht-3 or 3a.  The HT-1's are just so very neutral.  I have had many speakers in my sytem (over many years) but I have just kept going back to Jim's Veracity because they sound "right" to my ears.  Adding nothing and taking away nothing. Not to mention they are gorgeous.
