Best tech in the L.A. area is Mitch Singerman. 310-823-5145  Mitch is the authorized repair destination for E.A.R. as well as other companies. He is thorough, knowledgeable, reasonable and reasonably fast.He is attentive to your specific issues with a variety of vintage and modern gear.Things don't go into a six week "black hole" with this tech. The Audio Specialist is much closer to me but based on past experience this guy says he can repair it but will sit on it for months and then tell you he can't figure it out.I took him a pair of JBL c36 speakers ("Oh yeah,i can work on those") to fix and 6 weeks later he says he can't figure out what was wrong. This didn't stop him from charging me to look at them......... OUCH! 5 minutes with another tech.....  it was a blown tweeter, replaced in a few days. As always, all reviews, comments and recommendation are based on personal experience.Your mileage may vary.

Hi to all,
Have Lazarus Cascade Classic pre-amp and two Mark III mono amps. looking for someone who can  services/repair. Also, anyone knows about any modification for these equipment?
Would appreciate any assistance.

That's a great little preamp!  A buddy of mine had one for a while and he always had good sound.  Never heard the amps though.  I'm sure they're equally as good.  Don't know about any mods.  I'm sure they can be 'updated' a bit with bypass caps in PS, better diodes, upgraded caps and resistors and such.  Any reasonable tech could do these.  You might send a PM to Blair at Niteshade Audio (an AC sponsor).  I think he's doing some mods on vintage equipment.

Richard Gray at National TV in New Orleans - the same R.G. of Richard Gray Power Company.  If you're ever in the N.O.,
a must-visit and a must attend the N.O. audio club - particularly, when Richard hosts.

Wow, R.G. has a successful power conditioning company and a repair shop?  Good info for our Bayou audiophiles.

Thanks to all of you who have contributed to this thread!

RHB Sound Dezign is my go-to place for amp repairs and mods, especially anything tubed.  They modded my CJ PV-12 and it sounds unbelievable now.  The rhythm and bass slam are from another planet, never heard tube gear sound so good.

Plus he's a really, and I mean really, nice guy.   www.rhbsound.com

Guys, I like this list,  are there any tube experts in the western Mass area?  It's nice to avoid shipping if possible. Thanks  Norm

If anyone in NC is stuck for a tech, I can help. I do not do repairs for a living, it is more a hobby, but I have been working on tube gear for 30 years and understand the topologies rather than just assume the design started out good.

I am in WV... Does anyone know a good tech who works on Harman/Kardon solid state amp and preamp?

Anyone within WV, eastern KY, or southern OH would be appreciated.

Scott Gramlich, a very competent and reasonable tech who works on tube, SS, speakers and pro gear. Been in business for a couple of decades.

In the St Louis region Mike Missel is the go-to guy for all of the GAS members.  Great guy, great work, great rates.  He's rebuilt/repaired all kinds of high end gear for me.  AND he's a serious audiophile.

Sorry, a little off topic, but I need to make a plug here for Miller Sound for vintage speaker repair. They've been around a long time, but pretty much all their business comes from word of mouth. GREAT people who are among the absolute best in the business. http://www.millersound.net

I'm in New York City, and would recommend Blackie Pagano:
https://www.blackiepagano.com/

A lot of people recommended him before, and he also helped me bring one of my beloved tube amps come alive and work better.
A very friendly guy with trustful service, although his turn-around time can be long since so many people seek his help.
