Nuprime mcx-1 mcx-4 BUZZ hiss sound problem
« on: 22 Apr 2021, 05:10 am »
Hi Music lovers.

I hope someone could comment on my issue with my mcx-1 monos and my mcx-4.
I have a "to" loud buzz from speakers when the amps are powered up.
After long testing I have found.
Connected is, speaker+cable+mcx, when connecting rca the buzz starts and is there whatever is connected later, receiver TV Turntable....
4 different of rca=same result
3 other poweramps tested=no buzz at all.
Tested lifting ground=no improvement
Measured at 20cm distance.

Hope some of you can advise me.
Thanks

Is there a TV cable box anywhere in the system?

Those are notoriously noisy and can introduce a buzz/hum

No box.
Nothing in the wall except the poweramp.
The noise is there with hanging rca, not put in to anything, gets lower when i place the rca on top of the amp???
When connected to Marantz and Denon recivers pre out, increased.

I had a mch-k38 and it always had a very slight hum/buzz that you could hear in the tweeter from about 3ft away.

Do you have a different pre-amp to try. When I use my Mytek Manhattens ht/bypass....... and I have tried onkyo, denon, marantz and anthem ... I always got barely acceptable results, compared to what my mytek did.

If you check out audiosciencereview any time he measures a avr, they give pretty poor performance.
